FINAL REPORT

PROJECT PH-07-05-01-MUE

Dear Bro. Mraz,

This is to inform you that we have completed implementing our typhoon relief project in the Bicol area of Luzon Island, Philippines.   As reported earlier in my Preliminary Report, we were able to include Ragay in the food relief and add more families in Goa and Caramoan with the added funds you gave.  It took us some time to arrange for getting all the groceries and materials Caramoan.  The roads to this area have still not been repaired after the typhoons, so the main part of our travel to there was by boat.

The distribution of groceries and materials was combined with the distribution of Bibles donated by the youth group in my home church in Montana and distribution of used clothing sent by Christian friends in Australia.  In all locations opportunity was taken to remind the people that the gifts were a demonstration of God’s love for them and the care and concern of Christian brothers and sisters in other parts of the world.

Especially in the churches of Ragay, Goa and Caramoan, the relief effort through the church has had a significant positive impact for the Lord upon some recipients who previously had not been fully committed to the church.  We praise God that it also silenced some of the critics of the church in these areas where persecution still abounds.  It is a wonderful testimony for people to see tangible assistance to God’s family in times of desperation.   I know that this has confirmed God’s love in the hearts of many, who have been tempted to doubt in the midst of their struggle.

In behalf of the 145 families who received groceries, the 10 families that also received building material and the church in Naga, I extend our heartfelt thanks for your concern and generosity.
